Acceptable Use Policy

Resource limits, prohibited content, and how we handle abuse reports.

Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. Fair Resource Usage

CPU, disk, memory, and network resources must be used for legitimate workloads. Sustained abuse of shared host node resources, intentional interference with neighboring tenant performance, or unapproved heavy workloads are strictly prohibited. Cryptocurrency mining is strictly prohibited on all FlowHost services, with no exceptions.

2. Illegal Content & Activity

You may not host, distribute, store, or facilitate illegal content or malicious activity using FlowHost infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, child exploitation material, unauthorized distribution of copyrighted works, financial fraud, phishing schemes, malware distribution, or trafficking in stolen credentials. FlowHost fully cooperates with lawful requests and official court orders from competent law enforcement authorities.

3. Network Abuse & Spam Restrictions

Unauthorized network scanning, participation in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, operation of open proxies or open mail relays, and credential stuffing are strictly forbidden. Running botnets or command-and-control (C2) servers, operating or selling DDoS-for-hire services (booters/stressers), brute-forcing passwords or login attempts against other systems, running Tor exit nodes, and torrenting copyrighted material are also prohibited. FlowHost does not permit outbound spam or unauthorized bulk emailing, and outbound Port 25 traffic may be restricted or monitored. Any outbound network traffic that triggers upstream provider blacklists or threatens infrastructure stability may be rate-limited, filtered, or blocked immediately without prior notice.

4. Security Expectations & Compromised Instances

Customers are solely responsible for keeping their operating systems, installed applications, and software packages fully updated and secure. If a customer server is compromised by a third party and actively used to attack other systems or distribute malware, FlowHost will immediately isolate or suspend the affected instance to protect the broader network. The account owner will be notified to clean, patch, and secure the environment before network access is restored.

5. Web Hosting

On shared web hosting plans, bulk or mass email is not permitted. Long-running background processes are also not allowed on shared web hosting. Use a VPS if you need sustained background workers, daemons, or similar workloads.

6. Abuse Reports & Enforcement

Abuse reports, DMCA notices, and network security complaints should be submitted to [email protected]. FlowHost investigates credible reports and determines remediation based on severity and operational risk. Where feasible we notify the account holder; emergency network protection may take precedence over prior notice. Questions about a suspension can be raised via the Contact page or Client Portal. Repeat violations, severe malicious activity, or failure to remedy security breaches will result in permanent account termination and the forfeiture of all associated services without refund.
